Do you dream about participating in concepts like "Running Wild with Bear Grylls"? Then this expedition will be your cup of tea! During this adventure you will have to find your way back from the desolate wilderness towards civilization!

This expedition will take us deep into the wilds of nature, exploring the exotic and unique biodiversity of the rainforest. We will encounter rare and exotic species of birds, mammals, reptiles and insects that you won't find anywhere else. As we trek through the dense jungle, we will learn about the flora and fauna of the region, as well as its unique culture and history.

You will be dropped in the middle of the wild jungle at an unknown location. As part of the escape the wild series, you will need to find your way out towards civilization.
We will need to work together to navigate the intense environment. The dense jungle, the rough terrain, the wildlife, the humidity. Luckily we can count on our local guide and his knowledge of the fauna and flora we encounter.
When we reach the river, we will escape back to civilization by small boats.
Before and after our Expedition we will have all the comfort we need in our luxury cabin with good food and a relaxing jungle setting.
Before we embark on this journey, we make sure to give you all the tools and knowledge to get you ready to Get Out There.
Training course
Preparation starts 8 weeks in advance of the expedition.
Trip overview
Day 1
Arrival at the airport followed by taxi transfer.
Last preparations for the expedition will be done at a charming location in the jungle. But still within the comfort of civilisation.

Day 2
We take one more day to get acclimatised to the climate and conditions. We use this time to soak up some cultural experiences.​

Day 3 - 10
The expedition can unfuld.
Phase 1
It all starts with a majestical helicopter ride over the jungle. Taking in the vieuws from above is a surreal way to start.
Phase 2
Once we are surrounded by forrest is the time we get to experience all aspects of this enormous eco-system. The giant trees, the never-ending sound of life, the beautifull scenery.
And when the opportunity comes, we will explore the rainforrest at a slower place. To swim under a waterfall or watch the wildlife.
Phase 3
Getting out will be done by small river boats, the means of transportation for the locals. Here we can already enjoy some of the comforts of civilisation.

Day 11
Once we arrive back in civilisation we enjoy all it has to offer. With good food and drinks being the basics.

Packlist
During the preparation of this expedition, we will go through the equipment that you will need together. This is how we make sure you will be safe during our expedition.

Physical fitness
Being in good health and being able to walk 20 kilometers is sufficient to participate in this adventure.
​
Knowledge and experience
No prior knowledge or experience in the jungle is required. We will teach you all you need to know during this trip.

Guides
Safety is our number one priority. On this expedition, we work together with our Get Out There guides and local guides. The experts with whom we work together have the necessary experience as mountain-, survival-, outdoor-, and wilderness guide. They are also Wilderness First Responders, in order to keep medical assistance close by.

Insurance
We ask every participant to prove that they have insurance that extends to the full period of the travel experience. In Belgium, we can suggest Allianz or KBF for this.
